Wolf Shag Mullet With Choppy Micro Fringe
- Difficulty
- ADVANCED
- Hair Type
- Thick straight hair
What it is
Dark, thick straight hair cut into a spiky layered crown with short choppy pieces at the top, dropping into face-framing strands at the cheek and a long feathered tail that runs well below the shoulder blade. The fringe is cut short and uneven above the brow. Weight is removed heavily through the mid-lengths so the whole shape looks torn rather than cut.
Who it suits
Suits thick, straight, heavy hair that needs weight taken out rather than added. Pick it if you want serious length at the back but no bulk through the sides, and if you are comfortable with a fringe that sits high. The face-framing pieces narrow a wider jaw.
How to ask for it
Ask for a shag: short choppy layers through the crown, graduating into long layers at the back with the tail left uncut. Cut a short micro fringe above the brow and leave two face-framing strands at the cheekbone. Slide-cut the mid-lengths to remove weight.
Upkeep
Rough dry with your hands and finish with sea salt spray for separation. Book a re-layer every eight weeks; the ends need dusting sooner if they start to look solid.
