Fade
Induction Cut With High Bald Fade And Hard Part
- Difficulty
- INTERMEDIATE
- Hair Type
- any texture, cut very short
What it is
Cropped down to near nothing on top and faded bald from the ear up, this is about as short as a barber cut goes while still being a fade. A hard part is carved with the trimmer above the temple, giving the flat top a single sharp break, and the front hairline is squared off. The fade runs high, clearing the temple and blending into the short top well above the ear.
Who it suits
Practical for anyone who wants minimal upkeep or is working around thinning, since the short length evens out density. Suits a well-shaped head, because there's nothing to hide behind. Works with any texture; the hair is short enough that pattern stops mattering.
How to ask for it
Ask for a 1 on top with no guard variation, faded to bald from just above the ear up to the parietal ridge. Request a squared shape-up at the front hairline and one hard part etched above the temple, running back about two inches. Keep the neckline faded out, not blocked.
Upkeep
Every ten days; at this length any growth shows immediately. Nothing to style. Keep the scalp moisturised and use sunscreen on the crown in summer.
