Fade
Curly Top Mid Skin Fade With Etched Part
- Difficulty
- MASTER
- Hair Type
- defined curls, medium to high density
What it is
Defined open curls are left full on top, cut round and kept off the temples, sitting over a mid skin fade that clears to bare skin through the side panel and blends up into the curl. A short etched part is cut into the fade above the temple. The front hairline is squared hard and the beard is lined at the cheek and connected up to the sideburn, giving the whole side of the head clean geometry.
Who it suits
For defined curl with good spring and enough density to hold a round shape. Suits anyone who wants maximum contrast between texture on top and skin at the sides. The etched part and the beard connection add sharpness, so it fits if you like your cut to look freshly done.
How to ask for it
Ask for a mid skin fade, bald at the base, with the fade line level with the top of the ear and blended into the natural curl. Top left two inches, scissor-shaped round. Add a short etched part above the temple. Square the front hairline and line the beard along the cheek.
Upkeep
Ten to fourteen days to keep the skin fade and part sharp. Curl cream on damp hair, scrunch, air-dry. Keep the beard line trimmed between cuts with a bare trimmer.
