Diagonal 360 Waves With Blurred Low Fade
- Difficulty
- ADVANCED
- Hair Type
- Coily hair, directional wave training
What it is
A wave pattern brushed on a strong diagonal, ridges running from the part line back and down across the side rather than radiating in circles. The waves are cut close and evenly, so the lines read continuous over the crown. Underneath, a low fade blurs down to the ear with a soft top edge and no visible guard step. The forehead line-up is razored hard with a deep squared corner where it turns into the temple.
Who it suits
For coily hair trained to brush in one direction, which gives the pattern its diagonal pull. The low fade keeps the head shape full and rounded, so it works well on a longer skull. A good choice if you like the discipline of a wave routine but want the sides kept subtle rather than skin-bald. Needs consistency to keep the direction uniform.
How to ask for it
Ask for 360 waves with a blurred low fade. Cut the top with a 1 guard, keep the wave direction brushing diagonally back, and blur the sides from that length down toward the ear with no hard line. Set the top of the fade level with the temple. Request a hard front line-up with a squared corner.
Upkeep
Brush morning, midday and night, always following the diagonal. Durag or wave cap overnight without fail. Cut every two weeks to keep the fade blurred and the pattern shallow.
