Skin Fade With Full Coil Crown And Boxed Beard
- Difficulty
- MASTER
- Hair Type
- 4C coily, very high density
What it is
A true skin fade: the base is razor clean at the ear and neck, and the blend climbs steeply into a full, dense mass of coils left long over the crown and back. The contrast is the point, going from bare scalp to thick coil in a short vertical span. The forehead is squared with a deep blocked line-up and a right-angle temple corner. A boxed full beard, trimmed square at the jaw, matches the density up top.
Who it suits
Needs thick 4B to 4C growth with strong crown coverage to carry the contrast. The height and beard box suit round and full faces by adding vertical line. Uneven density or scalp irregularities show badly against bare skin. Skip it if you want a soft look, as this is the highest-contrast cut in the group.
How to ask for it
Ask for a skin fade taken bald at the ear and nape, blended up quickly so the top stays thick. Say leave the crown full, shape it round with shears, no clipper on the length. Request a deep blocked line-up with a square temple and a boxed beard trimmed at the jaw.
Upkeep
Ten to fourteen days, no longer, because bare skin shadows within days. Pick the top out daily, oil the scalp on the faded sections, and comb the beard down before boxing.
