Clean Shaved Head with Rounded Salt-and-Pepper Beard
- Difficulty
- BEGINNER
- Hair Type
- wavy medium density beard, shaved scalp
What it is
Scalp taken completely smooth, paired with a medium-length beard that rounds under the jaw rather than being squared off. Cheek lines are tidied just below the cheekbone but left following natural growth, and the moustache connects fully into the beard around the mouth. The grey concentrated under the chin is kept, not trimmed out, which gives the shape its depth. Compared with a boxed beard, everything here is softened and curved.
Who it suits
Straight-to-wavy medium beard growth suits this best, since the roundness comes from the hair falling rather than being sculpted. Good for long and rectangular faces, where the width under the jaw balances the profile. Requires a fully connected moustache and cheek growth. Patchy cheeks will read as gaps because there is no hard line hiding them.
How to ask for it
Ask for a bald head with a razor and a beard trimmed to roughly half an inch, rounded under the jaw with no square corners. Say to keep the cheek line natural, just clean up strays above it, and to leave the moustache connected and blended into the beard rather than cut separate.
Upkeep
Head every two to four days, beard shaped monthly. Under-chin length gets uneven first. Wash with beard shampoo twice a week and comb it down while damp.
