What it is

One side of the head is taken all the way to skin and faded high, well above the ear and up toward the parietal ridge, while the opposite side keeps loose wave falling down past the jaw. Two carved lines sweep back across the shaved panel in a long curve, following the direction of the fade. The top is short and finger-waved flat, then the length breaks free at the front.

Who it suits

For wavy or loosely curly hair with enough length on one side to swing. Suits anyone who wants dramatic asymmetry and is happy running a bald panel. Because the shaved side sits so high, this reads best when the remaining length is thick enough to balance it visually.

How to ask for it

Ask for a high skin fade on one side only, bald at the bottom, carried up to the parietal ridge and blended into the short top. Length preserved on the opposite side, no layering. Then ask for two parallel curved lines etched into the fade, sweeping from the temple back over the ear.

Upkeep

Ten to fourteen days; the etched lines soften first. Keep the long side conditioned and defined with a curl cream, and wrap it at night so the wave holds against the shaved side.
