Skin Temple Fade Buzz Crop
- Difficulty
- INTERMEDIATE
- Hair Type
- Fine to medium straight hair
What it is
A short buzzed crop over a high skin fade that runs bald from the temple up around the ear. The top is left just long enough to hold a soft front edge, cut level with no lift, and the fade takes the sides right down to the scalp before blending upward. A shaved line at the temple squares the front and connects into short stubble on the cheek. Minimal length, maximum contrast — the shape lives entirely in the blend.
Who it suits
Straight or fine hair suits this best, since there is no length to hide behind. Good for anyone thinning slightly on top, and for men who want a low-effort cut that still looks deliberate. Strong jawlines wear it well because nothing softens the outline of the head.
How to ask for it
Ask for a high skin fade with a temple line, bald at the bottom, blending up through a 0.5 and 1 to a 2 on top. Set the fade line at the temple corner and carry it around the ear. Leave the top on a 3 or 4 with a sharp square edge at the front hairline.
Upkeep
Every seven to ten days or the skin section fills in and the contrast disappears. Sunscreen on the faded area in summer, and a light shampoo is all the top needs.
