High Bald Fade Flat Buzz
- Difficulty
- BEGINNER
- Hair Type
- Medium to coarse straight hair
What it is
A flat, uniform buzz across the top with the sides taken to a high bald fade that clears the entire lower half of the head. The fade line sits well above the temple and blends fast, so most of the side is bare skin with just a short gradient near the top. The front hairline is razored into a hard right-angled corner at the temple, and the moustache and chin hair are kept short and separate from the sideburn.
Who it suits
Best for medium to coarse straight or slightly wavy hair that lies flat when buzzed. The high fade gives strong vertical lines, which balances a broader jaw. Choose it if you want minimum maintenance without looking unfinished, or if your hair is thinning at the crown, since a flat buzz at this length hides density loss.
How to ask for it
Ask for a high bald fade with a 1.5 buzz on top, cut flat across. Set the fade line about three fingers above the ear, going from skin at the bottom through 0.5 and 1 up to the top length. Request a hard right-angle line-up at the temple and the front hairline edged straight.
Upkeep
Wash and go, no product needed. Scalp balm on the shaved area keeps it from drying out. Every seven to ten days to hold the bald section; two weeks before the fade line gets muddy.
