Beard
Full Beard With Cheek Line Fade
- Difficulty
- INTERMEDIATE
- Hair Type
- Dense straight-to-wavy facial hair
What it is
A dense, medium-length full beard carried at one consistent depth from sideburn to chin, with the cheek line drawn high and softened so it melts into the sideburn rather than stopping in a hard edge. The moustache is trimmed off the lip line, the chin corner stays square, and the neck is cleared under the jaw so the beard reads as a shape and not as growth. Bulk is scissor-flattened along the jawline to keep the profile straight.
Who it suits
Best on beards that fill in evenly along the cheeks, since the high cheek line has nothing to hide behind. Works well for anyone wanting weight along the jaw without length hanging off the chin. Strong for narrower faces that gain width from a squared beard box, and easy to maintain for men who shave the neck themselves between visits.
How to ask for it
Ask for a full beard kept at roughly 8 to 12 mm, guard 3 or 4 all over, with the cheek line set high on the cheekbone and blurred rather than lined hard. Have the neckline taken one finger above the Adam's apple, corners of the chin left square, and the moustache trimmed level with the top lip.
Upkeep
Brush down and trim to the same guard every two weeks. Shave the neck weekly to keep the underline clean. Beard oil after showering stops the mid-length from frizzing and keeps the cheek blur soft.
